Our Client, Ireland’s leading engineering & transport consultants, specialising in Urban Roads and Traffic and Transport Engineering Design; is seeking to recruit an experienced CAD Technician Urban Roads and Traffic for its new Design Office in Dublin. The successful CAD Technician Urban Roads and Traffic will be involved in leading the design of urban roads and traffic, bus and cycle lanes, QBC’s and metro and light rail. The successful CAD Technician Urban Roads and Traffic will work within a specialist technical engineering design and planning team and will report to the Design Manager.
To be considered for the role you must:
Hold a Third Level qualification in civil engineering (or similar)
Have more than 5 years experience in a Civil Engineering Design Office (or similar)
Be proficiency in AutoCAD.
Have Urban Roads Design experience.
Have Traffic and Transport Design experience.
Be familiar with Urban Roads Signage .
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
Be proficiency in Word and Excel
Have strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Ideally you will:
Have experience in design of Bus Lanes, Cycle Lanes, QBC’s and Pedestrian ways.
Be familiar with the National Cycle Manual.
Be familiar with the Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets.
Be familiar with Traffic Management Guidelines + Traffic Signs Manual.
Be capable of converting to AutoCAD, drawings from other CAD formats.
Have experience of preparing / modifying drawings (using AutoCAD) from raster images, topographical surveys and digital maps.
Be competent at managing multi-projects whilst ensuring all deadlines are met.
CAD Skills Required for the Role:
AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoTrack, KeySign / KeyPost, Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD Civil 3D /MX Road, WordPress, MapInfo (GIS), Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Attractive long-term CONTRACT (c 3 years) with potential to extend.
Starting January 2018.
Remuneration is negotiable depending on the experience and fit of the candidate. However, the ideal candidate (contractor) can expect remuneration in the order of: c €65,000.00 + per annum.
