Senior Site Engineer - Water Pipeline - £300Mil Project

Location: Cumbria - 10 on / 4 off Rotation

Who you’ll be working for:
Breagh Recruitment, working along side one of Ireland and the UK’s most successful civil engineering top tier main contractors, who have a current requirement for an experienced Senior Civil Site Engineer / Site Agent, to work on heavy civil projects in the North of England and Scotland.
 
The initial project is a well known and highly desirable project to work on, based in Cumbria.  A £300 million water supply project, which will take over 2 years to complete.
 
What you’ll need to have:
The successful candidate will have a Degree in Civil Engineering, 6-10 years, hands on experience of heavy civil projects, preferably with a main contractor.
 
Experience in temporary works, proficient in Microsoft project and Microsoft office, along with Cad experience would be advantageous.
 
With strong mathematical skills, the client are looking for an experienced engineer with a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong, technically focused candidate, liaising with senior management and client’s representatives as appropriate.
 
What you’ll be doing:
Working initially on a large water pipeline project, on a 2 weekly rotation, were accommodation and travel will be provided, key duties will include:
  • Site Set up and documentation preparation
  • Accurate record keeping of extra works and variations and ensuring appropriate communication of same to company management, commercial team and client.
  • Compiling traffic management plans
  • Coordination with utility companies
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and good building practice
  • Ensure compliance with the company's quality procedures and ISO 9001
  • Developing temporary works solutions in conjunction with temporary works designers
  • HSE management
  • Quality control
  • Subcontractor management
  • Production of project handover documentation.
What you’ll get in return:
Salary will be in the region of £50,000, along with a package, which will include travel and accommodation as needed. Salary is fully negotiable.
