                                                                                         EHS Manager needed for a Main Contractor.


The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Health & Safety and membership with IOSH. You will also need at least 7 years of experience as a Health & Safety Manager in the construction industry. Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation is also expected.


Job Description:



  • Responsibility for ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 Management Systems.

  • Promote safety in the workplace and develop a positive culture around Health & Safety.

  • Develop EHS improvements to comply with the company’s overall plan.

  • Site inspections & audits.

  • Monthly reports on Health & Safety KPI’s.

  • Risk Assessments.

  • Incident & Accident records.

  • Provide statistics to Management.

  • Conduct Health & Safety meetings

  • Ensure the right details from legislation are in place and briefed out.

  • Liaise with the HR and other departments in relation to specific employee issues or accidents.

  • Lead Group information sharing.

  • Develop an accident management policy.

  • Monitor accident investigation and absence management across the company.

  • Coordinate dealings with enforcement agencies and external bodies.

  • Advise how risks could be reduced by reviewing high level risk areas and accident data.

  • Monitor the effects of dust, chemicals, noise, manual handling and other occupational risks within the business.

  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness.

  • Organise health & safety training including site inductions, manual handling, and CSCS.

  • Use training and awareness campaigns to improve the health & safety culture.
