Our client a leading main contractor are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager for the Dublin region.

The successful candidate will ideally be degree qualified from an engineering or related discipline with at least 5+ years senior engineering, and or Quality experience.

He/she should have a proven track record with main contracting experience and will be responsible for managing and implementing our in-house Quality System within the company’s day to day construction activities.

Will also be responsible for regularly reviewing the system ensuring a practice of continuous improvement is adhered to.

In addition, the successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing comprehensive procedures and controls in accordance with ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO 14001 standards; and for auditing same on a regular basis. 

 

DUTIES WILL INVOLVE

  • To carry out objective site inspections and audits to ensure that the implementation and quality of work being carried out is in accordance with good site practices, whilst the relevant specifications and approved drawings are being meticulously adhered to.
  • Management, implementation and maintenance of ISO9000/2000 & to ISO 14001
  • Responsible for developing quality plans, manuals, documents and for the continuous improvement of in-house systems
  • Analyse current methods of work and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Work with our Clients to ensure that their Quality Standards & Procedures are successfully submitted, approved and implemented against agreed timelines
  • Carry out training with site personnel in accordance with all relevant quality procedures and good site practices
  • Continue to motivate our site personnel and promote a “Zero Defects” culture within the organisation
  • Provide management reports to immediate Director and or the Board on a regular basis
  • Management of all in-house audits and work with site for resolution of non-conformance issues
  • Advise Management of any Quality Issues as they arise and working with site teams to promote a culture of “Quality First”.
  • Ensure all required documentation and certification is complete and reviewed prior to handover
  • Attend and co-ordinate weekly meetings with the client, subcontractors and suppliers.
