Position Summary: 
As a leading procurement service provider (PSP), Linesight provides procurement outsourcing and supply chain management services directly to clients. We help organizations to identify opportunities, achieve cost reductions and improve supplier relationships. Our primary expertise is providing customized strategic sourcing, procurement strategy consulting and spend management solutions to help companies increase their market intelligence and reduce their spending on goods and services. Linesight are actively seeking procurement professionals to join our expanding procurement team.  

The role is within a team working for a large multinational data center provider working on their EMEA and US projects. Duties will include the contract administration of various contracts for major mechanical and electrical equipment vendors (generators, switchgear, UPS, controls, cabling, air handlers etc.) and coordinating regional RFP activities for the team. Candidates will report directly with our client’s procurement team. The position will be based in a combination of Linesight’s Dublin office and our client's Dublin office. 

Role and Responsibilities: 
  • Own the site/campus specific proposal and purchase order processes for OFCI (Owner furnished contractor installed) equipment
  • Prepare, finalize and manage contracts 
  • Schedule and manage delivery dates 
  • Ensure technical compliance with project specific specifications for purchase order agreements 
  • On-board on-site supplier teams 
  • Provide budget estimates for long lead equipment 
  • Act as the point-of-contact for site GC, A/E and vendor project teams 
  • Manage PO change  
  • Negotiate project-specific changes 
  • Manage site issue resolutions including claims, disputes and notices 
  • Manage supplier relationships  
  • Negotiate GMP/SLS  
  • Preposition (logistics & inventory) 
  • Ensure all LLE documentation is provided by the OEMs 
  • Attend factory witness testing (FWT) as required
  • Plan, execute and manage changes of vendor field services (L1-3, L4-5Cx, PM) 
  • Provide procurement strategy advice  
  • Liaise with client’s procurement team 

Desired Experience and Education: 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills 
  • Degree qualified 
  • Equipment Procurement experience (minimum 5 years) 
  • Experience is required in the negotiation and resolution of change management and final accounts.  
  • Construction industry experience 
  • The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of the major electrical plant and equipment of a project, e.g. generators, switchgear, UPS, controls, cabling etc. 
  • Data center experience an advantage 
  • Strong interpersonal and client service skills 
  • Strong negotiation skills 
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Passion for reducing costs and a track record of success in this area 
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new processes within the organization  
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint 
  • Positive team work attitude
